As a trained professional writer and editor I have found the WhiteSmoke program invaluable when it comes to enriching my articles and stories. Like most writers when I am in the highly concentrated mode of composing a piece I do not want to interrupt my flow by reaching for my ‘Word Finder' or thesaurus.
Consequently, when I have completed the final draft and checked it for spelling and grammar, I often find that I could have used a better, more ‘enriching' word in some sentences. This process of enrichment has been greatly enhanced since I have used the WhiteSmoke program, and I can strongly recommend it to both new and seasoned writers.

Finding the right word will always provide satisfaction to a writer. In addition, the tools in WhiteSmoke will give you a selection to choose from, just by pressing ‘F2' on your keyboard. However, remember the choice remains with you. Although your editor will invariably have the last word in the matter.

‘The software’s secret sauce is its online database, which crawls news and business websites every day and “reads” all the sentences using White Smoke’s proprietary algorithms. It uses that knowledge to edit prose based on the category you select: commercial, legal, medical, casual, creative, executive, even dating’.
Tania Hershman,

‘It will switch “I don’t know weather the whether will be nice today or not” to, “I don’t know whether the weather will be nice today or not”. Common errors such as “Between you and I” become “Between you and me’.
